Kansas City Mayoral Conspiracy: Kevin McManus Exposed?!?

Today we share another reminder that the next Kansas City mayoral election already seems as if it's kinda rigged.

Let's start our investigation with the curious saga of termed out council dude Kevin McManus . . .

Remember a quote he offered not so long ago . . .

"He’s wrapping up two consecutive terms and the city charter says that’s all he gets. Before that, beginning in 2011, he served five years as a representative in the Missouri House. He says he will leave this year with no regrets, lots of pride and no itch to get back into it."

Cool story.

But, again . . .

And here's why this is important . . . 

It seems like council dude McManus knew long ago that Mayor Q isn't going to serve the entirety of his 2nd term and there will be a rush of locals hoping to replace him. 

And so . . . 

Like it or not, Mr. McManus is now first in line to claim the used up throne of Mayor Q . . . However, he didn't even have the guts, fortitude, confidence in his leadership to challenge him in a contest that was virtually wide open. 

And so . . . Right out of the gate . . . Before he even starts . . .

KEVIN McMANUS MUST BE STOPPED FROM BECOMING KANSAS CITY'S NEXT MAYOR!!!

I don't care how nice his teeth are . . . (Yes, I'm jealous.)

Rewarding this kind of treachery sets a dangerous precedent and makes our local democracy look like even more of a joke. 

A vote for Kevin McManus isn't just a bad decision, it might be an affront to fair and free elections.
