Firefighters responded to emergency at the warehouse near Monroe and Nicholson Avenues shortly after 12 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters searched the building and then moved out of the building to tackle the fire.
“They
moved into a defensive posture, meaning they put the ladder sticks up
all the way to the top and extended them and we have a large amount of
water,” Jason Spreitzer, KCFD, said.

"More than 150 firefighters have responded to the scene, which was upgraded to a four-alarm fire shortly after 2 p.m. KCFD spokesperson Jason Spreitzer said seven firefighters have sustained injuries. Four were treated at the scene and three were transported to a local hospital. "
