Family, friends hold vigil for 6-month-old Kansas City girl found in woods

A vigil was held to honor the life of a child found dead in the woods. Kha'liya Bridgewater's remains were discovered near 41st and Pittman in Kansas City. Her grandfather said they thought everything was going well until his daughter told him she died. Police are still investigating what happened.


Kansas City man charged with hitting elderly woman with 30-inch metal pipe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man is charged with assault after being caught on video beating an elderly woman with a 30-inch metal pipe. Andrew Canaday, 34, is charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with 1st degree assault and armed criminal action in the attack early Friday morning at a Short Stop convenience store, 9013 East U.S.

Dozens gather at march Friday for 6-year-old murder victim Sir'Antonio Brown

Pedestrian in wheelchair struck in Truman Road crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man crossing Truman Road in a wheelchair was struck in a crash Friday night. The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department said a silver Lexus was eastbound on Truman Road when it struck a man in a wheelchair crossing the road at approximately 8:18 p.m.


Police identify man killed in triple shooting at Family Dollar in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, identified a man killed in a shootout at a Family Dollar on Wednesday. Officers responded to the store near Troost Avenue and Linwood Boulevard just after 5 p.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived they located a man, identified as 37-year-old Gregory Murray Jr., suffering from gun shot wounds.
