Around this time last year KCMO homicides numbered only 71.
What we believe is important . . .
2020 was the deadliest year in KC history and at this date on the calendar, homicides numbered only 89.
Clearly, this cowtown is now in the midst of an full scale deadly violent crime crisis.
What's disappointing is that this tragedy arrives following a low-turnout election. We predict only partisan, culture war outcry over money & power via "local control" will be offered as a solution by activists.
Meanwhile . . . Mayor & Council have only proposed 30 MILLION bucks worth of no-show jobs as their answer to the chaos on local streets.

Homicide 3600 block of Michigan - LATE DEATH
While officers were originally notified shots had been fired in the area, the call was upgraded to a shooting as police were en route.
Upon arrival, an unresponsive victim with gunshot wounds was located in a vehicle in front of a residence.
Police made contact with emergency medical services, who transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hours later, the victim, identified as 17-year-old Ricky Monroe, succumbed to his injuries.
