A glimpse at local violence continues after the bloody weekend . . . Here's the first report . . .
This morning about 3:30am officers were called to a residence in the 6900 block of Chestnut Ave on a cutting call.
On arrival they were contacted by a man outside the residence who was the victim of a cutting. He stated that a female inside the residence had cut him.
The male was taken to the hospital by EMS for treatment of what is thought to be non-life threatening injuries.
The female subject remained inside the residence and refused to come out to contact officers.
Officers deescalated and surrounded the house to prevent her escape and protect surrounding residents.
They called for an Operation 100/Police stand-off to bring additional resources and trained negotiators to the scene.
Negotiators are working to talk the woman into coming outside to continue the investigation.

UPDATE: About 9:20am this morning the subject exited the residence and she was taken into custody without incident
