Environmentalism has become something of a religion over the past few years. 

We all have to believe in something, I guess . . . Sorry if we seem skeptical . . . It's just that we've seen so many belief systems crumble amid the insatiable human desire for money, power and oversized naughty bits . . . Not always in that order.

Still . . . 

It's strange that nobody but conservatives made a peep when the current war in Ukraine facilitated the destruction of record-breaking Nord Stream pipeline disaster

Nevertheless . . .

Rather than debating any facts . . . It's more important to pick out cool t-shirts and clever signs for the upcoming festivities that involve a great deal of trash pickup that will also benefit the local NFL draft.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A zero-waste refill shop in Kansas City, Missouri, is doing its part to better protect the environment. Gabriella Sanders, owner of Green Utopia KC, believes the road to sustainability starts with personal awareness.

The Missouri River Relief cleanup drew more than 150 volunteers, even with the threat of severe rain. Volunteers picked up a 10-mile stretch of the riverfront in Kansas City, finding everything from tires and lawn chairs to headlights and fenders.


2023 Earth Day is Celebrated All Month at the Library

The Library is excited to offer resources and a month of activities in commemoration of Earth Day 2023 on Saturday, April 22. Since April 1970, Americans have used the occasion to raise awareness and inspire action aimed at protecting and saving Earth's natural resources.
