A Kansas City man whose body was found inside the home where three KCPD officers were shot and wounded on Tuesday night died by suicide, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Matthew L. Carrell, 62, was found dead by tactical teams with MSHP and the FBI on Wednesday afternoon inside a home in the 2300 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard.
Jury convicts man of 3 counts of murder following shootings in 2019
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A second person has been convicted of murder following fatal shootings in October of 2019, which left three people dead in Kansas City. According to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, a jury convicted 47-year-old Victor Sykes of three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action.
KC homeless man charged in fatal stabbing
A Kansas City man experiencing homelessness has been charged in the Feb. 25, 2023, fatal stabbing of James Perry inside a homeless camp near 1st Street in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Wednesday.
