There are a number of links being circulated with fund raising opportunities to help the family of fallen KCPD Officers James Muhlbauer and his K9 partner Champ. The Kansas City Police Memorial Foundation a 501©(3) organization has established a fund raising platform to assist the family with ongoing needs.

Kansas City police officer James Muhlbauer is being remembered for being a "good cop" and a hard worker. Kansas City Fraternal Order of Police President Brad Lemon knew Muhlbauher since he started at the Kansas City Police Department two decades ago. "One of the good cops out there," he said.
Procession takes fallen K-9 officer Champ to Rolling Acres Memorial Garden in Northland
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A police procession Friday morning transported K-9 Officer Champ, who was killed in a traffic crash Wednesday night , from North Kansas City Animal Control to Rolling Acres Memorial Garden. Champ was taken across the Kit Bond Bridge, which spans the Missouri River along Interstate 35/Interstate 29 just north of downtown, shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Former K9 officer: There's no stronger bond in the department than an officer, K9 partner
Kansas City Police Department Officer James Muhlbauer's K9 partner, Champ, will soon join him in their final resting place. K9 units from all over the metro joined together Friday to honor Champ.Muhlbauer, his K9 partner and a pedestrian were killed after a car crashed into the officer's vehicle Wednesday night.
