It seems that there's not much desire to participate in democracy from 12th & Oak despite thoughtful and lovely notes requesting as much.

To wit . . .

Sure . . .

Mr. Chastain is a long-shot candidate and the mayor will most likely win his reelection contest. 

But here's something to consider . . .

Public debate isn't just a playing field to carry out campaign strategy, it's a sign of respect for voters and love for the Democratic process.

And so . . .

Many locals might be cool with snubbing a controversial transit activist . . . But the insult is actually directed at voters and if it's left unchallenged . . . It won't be the last sign of disrespect against the electorate.
