It seems that arguments over dual roles for Jackson County politicos are fading.
Here's the latest word from Megan Marshall following her recent victory and as candidates prepare to be sworn in early in 2023 . . .
"This afternoon I submitted my resignation, effective immediately, to the Lee’s Summit Board of Education, so that I can prepare for my duties on the Jackson County Legislature.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the board, past and present, that I have enjoyed the pleasure of serving alongside and every teacher, staff, student, and family I have met throughout my term. Your belief in me has meant the world to me and I am deeply grateful for your encouragement and commitment."
