Many Have Tried: Will Kansas City Mayor Q Succeed Congressman Cleaver?!?

Tonight we share a longstanding question in Kansas City politics that has recently earned renewed interest.

With no mainstream challenger emerging and access to at least A MILLION BUCKS worth of campaign cash . . . Insiders ask . . .

WILL KANSAS CITY MAYOR Q SUCCESSFULLY WAIT OUT CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER?!?!

A few things to consider . . .

- The Congressman is 78 years-old but, thankfully, he's healthy. For context, Nancy Pelosi will continue her duties in Congress at 82. God willing, the former KC Mayor could would another 4 to 6 years without any real challenge.

- Convicted federal felon Mike Sanders was the first to openly wait in line for the Congressman to call it quits but a guilty plea for wire fraud happened much more quickly.

- Supporters of former Mayor Sly ALSO thought that their boss was the heir to the congressional throne but that didn't happen either.

- Most importantly: At the end of their 2nd term . . . Voters are pretty disgusted with most KC Mayors and beg them to step off stage or move on to something else. The Congressman's retirement would have to come quickly for Mayor Q to avoid this historical trend.

Now . . .

We've asked insiders about this course for Mayor Q and, of course, they deny it.

Others claim that a D.C. appointment is more likely.

Very optimistic souls have already considered a run against Senator Hawley.

However . . .

This voting district is far too important to ignore. It was pretty much designed for Congressman Cleaver and whoever inherits it will likely benefit from his work.

Again . . .

Mayor Q hasn't said for certain if he wants the job . . .

Also . . .

Insiders also tell us that the Congressman is unlikely to bestow his favor on Mayor Q in the near future or EVER.

Still, the speculation continues . . .

Developing . . .
