Will Dan Tarwater Win Ultra-Progressive Kansas City Brookside Love?!?

Recently, insiders shared a brilliant question that might speak to the future of the Democratic Party . . . At least in Kansas City. 

Thanks to redistricting confusion . . . 

Ultra-progressive Brookside now resides in the 6th District and this might create a challenge for moderate Democratic stalwart and former Jackson County Legislator Dan Tarwater.

A few things to consider . . .

Dan Tarwarter voted against COVID mask mandates in Jackson County. In Brookside, housewives fashioned elaborately decorated masks and gave them away as party favors. 

Dan Tarwater is pro-life. That topic might not matter much for council legislation . . . But Brookside progressive voters consider this close to treason. 

Dan Tarwater is friendly and has a great working relationship with Republican colleagues.

That's Dan Tarwater with Jackson County Legislative Chair Theresa Galvin . . . A strong Republican challenger for the Exec job and a lady who has a very good shot at creating history and upsetting local legend Frank White.

In Mr. Tarwater's favor . . . 

His campaign finance reports show an EPIC sum for this contest . . . Nearly 40K. 

He has EXCELLENT name recognition. People really like him . . . In fact, anybody who meets him. 

There's no other established local politico in this contest . . . YET. 

And so . . .

This afternoon we consider if moderate Democratic Party denizens can convince ULTRA-PROGRESSIVE BROOKSIDE to compromise.

Or . . . 

Is Kansas City in for another council slap fight in order to debate all of the divisive culture war chatter we're seeing on TV & the Internets.
