Adults charged in Kansas City fire that killed 3 children

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two adults are charged in connection with a Northland fire that killed three children last year. Platte County prosecutors charged David Hardy, 37, of Belton, with three counts of felony child endangerment. Prosecutors said he had methamphetamine in the house with the children.

Woman tells Excelsior Springs police she was kidnapped, sexually assaulted - suspect in custody

Several streets have been closed in part of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, as part of an ongoing investigation. The Clay County Sheriff's Office has confirmed it's part of a kidnapping and sexual assault investigation on the 300 block of Old Orchard Street.A woman reported to Excelsior Springs this morning at 7:47 a.m.

3 in custody after firing at FBI in Warsaw, Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three individuals are in custody after firing at law enforcement in Warsaw, Missouri, Friday morning. FBI Kansas City reports the FBI had a "lawful presence" in the 30,000th block of U.S. 65 Highway regarding an ongoing federal investigation.

Trial for Clay County mom charged in daughters' deaths approaches

LIBERTY, Mo. - The trial for a Kearney woman charged in connection with the deaths of her daughters is scheduled to begin in less than two weeks. Jenna Boedecker was indicted in January 2019 on two counts of second-degree murder, four counts of child endangerment, one count of third-degree domestic assault, one count of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree property damage.

Grandview police ask for help finding runaway juvenile from Springfield

Grandview police are asking for help in finding a runaway juvenile.Police said Kaylee Marquez ran away from home in Springfield and has not been seen since Wednesday.Authorities said Kaylee has very distinctive tattoos. Anyone who has seen Kaylee is asked to call Grandview police at 816-316-4914.

Man charged in shooting death of off-duty Kansas City firefighter

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Federal prosecutors charge a metro man in the death of an off-duty Kansas City firefighter, but say he isn't the one who pulled the trigger. Independence police said 41-year-old Anthony Santi was shot at a gas station off of U.S. 40 Highway around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
