KC 360 eyes early 2023 launch in Kansas City neighborhood to address violence
The new year is going to bring a new, more comprehensive approach for addressing gun violence in Kansas City. It's called KC 360, it's coming to the Santa Fe Neighborhood, and it's modeled after a wildly successful approach in Omaha, Nebraska.
2 wounded in shooting at Eisenhower Park in KCK
The Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double shooting Friday evening at Eisenhower Park.Investigators said deputies were called about 5:45 p.m. to the park on a reporting shooting and found two victims. They were taken to a hospital.Authorities said no arrests have been made.Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
Suspect charged in Excelsior Springs kidnapping, sexual assault
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. - A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a suspected kidnapping and sexual assault in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Police say Timothy Haslett Jr. has been charged by Clay County prosecutors with first-degree kidnapping, first degree rape and second degree assault.
Neighbors help woman who said she was held against her will, sexually assaulted
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - Neighbors helped a woman who was going door to door screaming for help around 7:47 a.m. Friday. She told neighbors and police she escaped a home where she was held against her will and sexually assaulted near Old Orchard Avenue and south Kimball Avenue.

Kansas City firefighter dies in off-duty tragedy
Kansas City firefighter Anthony "Tony" Santi died on Thursday, Oct. 6, off-duty at a gas station in Independence, Mo. Greater Kansas City Local 42, the union Santi belonged to, said in a release that Santi was attempting to come to the defense of a gas station employee near US 40 Highway and Sterling Avenue.
