Here are the reports . . .

Suspicious death 24th and Topping

This morning a few minutes before 9:00 am officers were dispatched to 24th and Topping near the park by the pond on a dead body.

On arrival officers were led to a deceased person located by the pond on the east side of Topping. A person walking in the park this morning located the deceased person and called for police.

Based on the location of the deceased and the possibility of it being suspicious officers notified detectives who have begun a suspicious death investigation. Because the scene is outdoors and there’s only one opportunity to completely process the scene they have requested crime scene investigators to come to the scene for processing.

Detectives are talking with additional people who were at the scene when officers arrived. The medical examiner will make the final determination of cause of death in conjunction with the detectives and crime scene investigators who are processing the scene at this time.
