Pricey KC Current Home Game Fact Check

We don't think much about lady soccer here at TKC.

To be fair . . . Nobody does. 

Across the nation there really hasn't been much of an interest in the sport beyond politicized hype. But politics doesn't put people in seats . . . Don't believe me? Go check out a rally for Prez Biden. 

However . . . One of our most KICK-ASS READERS offers a worthwhile fact check regarding a project that will be subsidized by local taxpayers. 

Here's the word . . .  

"We're building a multi-million dollar stadium for 11 home games."

We didn't know the schedule was that sparse but we checked it out and the comment proves correct. 

About the 2022 lineup: The season will feature 12 teams competing in 11 home games and 11 away games per club.

Sure, the team might gain a few more games over the years . . . Maybe even host a championship. But, again, the KC Current's "attendance record" only earned about 1/5th the audience of a typical Mizzou football game. Again, in fairness, MU only plays 8 football home games but has people coming from across the state (and the region) to see them.

So riddle me this . . .

WHY ARE KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS FUNDING AN EPIC STADIUM FOR BILLIONAIRES WHEN THE TEAM ISN'T EVEN GOING TO PLAY A DOZEN TIMES A YEAR???

Sadly . . . 

The big money backers of the team have already been cozy with Kansas City's political leadership and it's clear they're not taking any questions from the public.
