This is nice . . . And don't get it twisted . . . We're sure fans had fun watching this contest that ended in a draw.
But a reality check is in order . . .
This Fall some of the better high school football teams will have crowds across the city that number at least 12,000 per game . . . At least when you count all the scumbags in the parking lots.
A high school in Blue Valley is working an EPIC stadium that could hold up to 15K people.
In 2021, Mizzou football averaged 46,516 fans at their home games and that was with COVID concerns coupled with a mediocre 6-7 record.
And so, again, this smallish number is nice . . . But I'm not sure we should call it "major league" attendance . . .
The KC Current shattered its attendance record and the team extended its unbeaten streak on Friday. The Current said 10,395 attended the match at Children's Mercy Park.
