Kansas City Police Supporters Prep Election Slate Against Mayor Q

This week activists and neighborhood leaders against developer subsidy rallied against the current city hall administration in dramatic fashion. 

For better or worse . . . The Mayor has bigger problems confronting his reelection campaign.

A few things to consider . . .

- The war chest of police supporters continues to grow and this time around they're looking to spend BIG money on friendly candidates. 

- Despite a great deal of love for the progressive agenda locally . . . Traditionally, KCMO tend to support po-po and their political advocacy is taken a bit more seriously than other organizations. 

- We notice some of their faves have connections to insiders across the metro . . . A couple of their upcoming endorsements already seem to be strong at the outset of campaign season. 

However . . .

There's reason to be skeptical as well.

Let's not forget the friends of the po-po initially pledged their love to Mayor Q.

Years later there might be lingering hard feelings but we chose to remember the good times before a litany of lawsuits and veiled threats soured this once promising political relationship.
