Even worse for downtown residents who aren't fans of hip-hop . . .
Kansas City police said at least 15 vehicles were either broken into or had items stolen from them late Sunday near the Power & Light District.

For years, shootings had been confined to nearby parking lots & faraway streets. But now rising local violence occurs in the midst of downtown's crown jewel.
Make no mistake, this is a HORRIFIC SETBACK for historic taxpayer investment inside the loop. It's doubtful that people are going to pay $3,000 - $6,000 per month to reside in luxurious living space that's right next to a war zone. Commercial real estate also continues to suffer from the pandemic and many employers might question: Is it worth it to risk the fate of employees by returning to the central biz district that's clearly in disarray???
