Lee’s Summit Gunfire Leaves Two People Dead

The shooting was reported just after 4:30 p.m. near NE Trailwood Drive and NE Oakwood Drive.

The incident appeared to have unfolded inside of a home and is believed to be domestic related, said Sgt. Chris Depue, a spokesman for the department. Depue said police were not searching for any suspects.

Police said they are not looking for a suspect.

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - The Lee's Summit Police Department is investigating a shooting that has left two people dead and one person injured late Thursday afternoon. The shooting was reported just after 4:30 p.m. near NE Trailwood Drive and NE Oakwood Drive. Police have confirmed with FOX4 that at least two people are dead.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Lee's Summit are investigating a shooting that killed two people and critically injured a third. Earlier Thursday afternoon, police responded to the call in a neighborhood just east of Missouri 291 Highway and Chipman Road. Responding officers found two people dead inside of a home in the area.
