KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Olathe are investigating a shooting that injured a man on Monday evening. The shooting happened near north Ridgeview Road and east Cothrell Street at around 9:30 p.m. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

LAWRENCE, Kan. - One man is in custody after a woman was found dead inside a Lawrence, Kansas home Monday night. Police were called to a north-central Lawrence residence just before 7:30 p.m. When officers arrived they found the suspect and a "mortally wounded woman."
