Kansas City Police Board Requested Eric Greitens Remove Ride-along Post

Here's follow-up that deserves attention . . .

Recently we noted Eric Greitens doing a bit of blogging on the topic of Kansas City police, a ride-along and his support of the organization. 

As soon as our blog community highlighted his posts . . . This town's almost daily newspaper offered their own negative hot take that we didn't really trust.

Now, here's official word from the police board . . .

"The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is an apolitical organization. It does not promote or support political candidates."

The note continues . . .

"We recently became aware of a political post that was made for one candidate’s campaign in connection with such a ride-along. Official approval was not obtained from the Department in this instance. As soon as we were made aware of the post, we requested that the campaign remove the video, And they have complied."
