LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons was released from custody Thursday after turning himself into authorities in Las Vegas earlier in the day. Lammons was booked and processed before posting bond and being released from custody.

Johnson County murder suspect Nicholas Ecker appears in court
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Accused child murderer Nicholas Ecker appeared in Johnson County District Court for a preliminary hearing Thursday via video conference from county jail. All four outstanding cases against Ecker, who was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated arson for allegedly setting fire to a Shawnee home that left a small child dead , were combined.
Man found shot dead Wednesday morning, KCKPD investigate as homicide
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is investigating after finding a man shot inside an apartment early Wednesday morning. According to police, they were called to an apartment near the 1600 block of Birch Street at about 3:30 a.m. on reports of someone being shot.
KBI, Wyandotte County Sheriff investigating inmate death at detention center
WYANDOTTE COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -- An inmate has died at the Wyandotte County Detention Center and officials are investigating the incident. According to the sheriff's office, the inmate was found unresponsive on Monday afternoon during a routine cell check. Lifesaving efforts were performed and emergency services were called at the detention center.
Family pleads for justice in murder of KCMO mother of 5
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - There's a growing memorial off St. John Avenue and Belmont Boulevard, where in the early hours of Jan. 25, a mother of five was gunned down . According to family members, Pebbles Harr, 44, died the same way her mother did more than 20 years ago.
Lenexa Police investigating two home burglaries, looking for suspects
LENEXA, KS (KCTV) -- Police are searching for two people they believe broke into at least two homes last week near 79 th and Pflumm. In both cases, they say the burglars found garage remotes in unlocked vehicles and used the clickers to get into the houses.

Playing cards are a new strategy in solving cold cases in Kansas

Kansas City Police Department requests help recovering stolen vintage vehicles
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department requests the public's help recovering vintage vehicles that were stolen from a Westport garage last week. According to KCPD, seven of the 10 stolen vehicles have already been recovered since Feb. 12, thanks to tips from the public.
Police nab loose pigs running amok in Independence
On Tuesday Independence police had an unexpected culprit to chase down. Several loose pigs were running out and about across Independence, Missouri. After a brief chase, the pigs were finally tracked down 24 Hwy and Arrowhead Rg. Police jokingly said that the pigs actually had an accomplice and were taken into custody.This isn't the only recent animal incident involving police near Kansas City.
