Here's the round-up narrative from authorities as broadcast interviews reveal police describing rifle fire amid parking lot chaos this afternoon . . .
Authorities are investigating a shooting in a parking lot outside Independence Center Monday afternoon.
Police said an officer was patrolling the parking lot and heard multiple gunshots fired. Investigators said people in two vehicles were firing shots at each other.
One person in one of the vehicles was shot in the head. The victim's condition was described as non-life-threatening.

The days of Independence Center are numbered the exact same thing happened to Bannister Mall in the mid 90's.
Bannister Mall was open until 2006 however starting in 1996 the shops starting leaving and the mall was basically dead by 1999.
Benjamin Plaza which was surrounding Bannister Mall started dying in 1999 and was finished off by 2007.
Both the Mall and the shops/retail are tied to each other if the mall fails all of the retail surrounding it will die also.
Independence need to get this under control now before it looks like 40hwy and Noland or the former Bannister Mall.
