Mugshot Turnabout: Drug Treatment Clinic Owner Charged In KC With Dealing Drugs

Honestly not sure if this is irony or just plain old criminal hypocrisy.

In any event, it's yet another reason for the plebs to be skeptical about the $35-BILLION "RECOVERY" industry that doesn't seem to be very effective given the spike in American junkies and overdoses.

Take a look . . .

Kansas treatment clinic owner accused of trafficking drugs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The operator of a Kansas drug treatment clinic has been indicted in Kansas City, Missouri, on federal charges of drug trafficking. Trevor Robinson, 44, was indicted Tuesday on one count each of possessing methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and ecstasy, with the intent to distribute the drugs, federal prosecutors for western Missouri said in a news release Thursday.

  2. They should strongly consider legalizing heroin. I have used heroin twice daily for about 14 years and have not gotten addicted yet.

  4. Just about anybody can call themselves a "drug and alcohol addiction counselor" and there is a significant percentage of them who struggle with the very addictions they are trying to relieve. I am constantly amazed that folks pay thousands of dollars for these services when they are available for no cost from the most effective treatment available, Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotic Anonymous. Before spending that hard earned money, why not try them? There is really no downside. If you don't like AA or NA or if they don't work, these guys will be there to take your money.

    1. Well, yes and no. There are state certifications for alcohol and drug counseling that require an amount of expertise, education, and training. And it is true that many who have gone through addiction problems become highly effective treatment providers based on lived experience. But AA/NA is not everyone's answer, as good and helpful as it can be. Not everyone is receptive to the strongly religious overtones of that approach, and real research into its effectiveness is slim.

  6. This is a good business plan and hope it's taught at the Harvard Business School. You find a need and fill it.

  7. The main beneficiaries of the war on drugs are law enforcement and the treatment industry. The addicts are still the losers.

Then you have not done any real research about AA/NA results.
