Given that the American consumer economy is dominated by fast food and junk ordered from Amazon, it's unclear how the new toy train line will prosper given the financial devastation in the aftermath of the pandemic.
Not sure how the economics of it work (they don't) but apparently a hipster coffee shop placed at 15 feet intervals signals both vibrancy and density - The demand of amateur urban planners and failed architects across the globe.
Accordingly, here's an open spot and one of many SOON-TO-BE-EMPTY businesses along the corridor that will be transformed into a java dispensary OR luxury condos . . . Maybe a medical marijuana outlet.

DeleteThe Main Street bars that don't have a back entrance and rely on liquor being delivered through their front doors will suffer because those delivery trucks are too wide to fit between the curb and the streetcar rails. Same for any other business that relies on trucks for deliveries. They might as well just close off Main Street to car traffic since the streetcar will make it one big mall.
