Public radio offers click bait and imagines this cowtown has HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS to finance the antics of a last place team whilst COVID-19 has created a MASSIVE shortfall that threatens to bankrupt this town.
The punch line . . . The luckiest of KC Star newsies now enjoy (half pay) employment at this news outlet and pretend to help their friends who weren't as fortunate.
Take a peek . ..
Could The Star's Soon-To-Be Vacated Building Make Way For A Downtown Baseball Stadium?
With the news that The Kansas City Star will vacate its massive, glass building at 1601 McGee downtown, the big question is what will become of the iconic, two-block-long structure. The Star moved into the 424,000-square-foot building in mid-2018 after moving out of its longtime, red-brick home at 1729 Grand just a block southwest.
What a great idea!! Right next to the P&L District. As a matter of fact, let's pay for it with the imaginary money we are making on the P&L!!!

ReplyDeleteDowntown baseball won’t work because almost all the downtown residents are homosexuals. The only part about baseball that interests them is when the batter has 3 balls and no strikes.
ReplyDeleteDowntown baseball won't work because the fans don't want to be mugged, raped and assaulted on the way to their cars. Just like the Plaza, it's too close to where the muggers, rapists and assaulters live.

She also suggested a 10 foot wide and 50 foot long football field across the highway. transportation is via toy train and air balloons. Will be torn down in 16 years to move to plaza, built across brush creek.
