TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! INSIDER: ONE MORE ROUND OF RIOTING THREATENS TO BANKRUPT KANSAS CITY!!!

As we slouch toward the 2020 November vote Kansas City confronts steadily increasing violence and the threat of continued social unrest.

Moreover, given the aftermath of historic riots on the Plaza and throughout Midtown; local insiders offer this word of warning and economic fact check . . .

KANSAS CITY BANKRUPTCY LOOMS IF CONTINUED SOCIAL JUSTICE PROTEST TURNS VIOLENT AGAIN!!!

Remember . . .

KCPD incurred 2.1 MILLION BUCKS worth of overtime and other expenses associated with violent protests following the death of George Floyd.

Even worse, since that time there have been at least 28 businesses vacated on the Plaza and even more in the surrounding area thanks to the devastation of 2020 riots.

Turns out, not even an iconic retail district is strong enough to serve as a very real battleground betwixt police vs. activists.

And so we offer this inside word about Kansas City's financial situation that should ring true for those who follow recent public meetings closely . . .

"Unless there's some kind of financial relief from D.C., we might be toast anyway. But if we have to suffer through another few weeks of rioting then we're talking about a major hit to the general fund and KC will be unable to meet its obligations over the next 5 years. The furloughs are just the start of how city hall needs to start adjusting to our new financial situation. The most important part of the equation is coping with dramatically decreased revenue -- In most scenarios, any kind of extreme expense (like more rioting) will totally upend this town's finances. This isn't rocket science, and anybody who was really paying attention during recent finance & governance meetings knows that there's only a slim chance that Kansas City will be able to squeak through this time without having to come to some sort of major financial reckoning."
