TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS NAME CHANGE LOOMS AS REDSKINS RETIRE RACIST MONIKER TODAY!!!

It turns out Super Bowl glory for the Kansas City Chiefs is unlikely to live through the pandemic as the American political and cultural landscape rapidly evolves.

To wit . . .

REALITY CHECK: THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS WON'T BE ABLE TO KEEP THEIR NAME NOW THAT THE REDSKINS ARE KAPUT!!!

Moreover . . .

RECRUITING LOCAL SELLOUT TRIBES ONLY DELAYS THE INEVITABLE: THE "CHIEFS" NAME IS A RELIC OF THE PAST!!!

Personally, TKC will miss the team's tradition but progressives and their politically charged pressure now dominate the corporate landscape - Which, in turn, dictates terms to the NFL.

Breif aside . . .

At the end of th day, changing the name of a sports team doesn't really impact the lives of fans or locals one bit . . . But the culture war distraction entertains as the pandemic grows more serious, economic challenges lie ahead and VERY REAL political instablilty grips the nation as the election moves closer.

Most importantly . . .

The Chiefs can no longer justify the racist "Arrowhead Chop" and banging their silly faux native drum . . . The only way to remove those controversial traditions, given that fans can't show any restraint, is to change the team name.

Right now the Kansas City Chiefs front office is too scared to even try to defend their name and hope to ride out the storm hiding like cowards instead of stepping up like champs.

The Washington Redskins are no longer the Washington Redskins

Money talks. After years of ignoring requests from Native American tribes to change the name, the Washington Redskins are listening to their main sponsor and changing their name. Multiple outlets had source reporting Sunday night that the official announcement of the name change will be made Monday, though the reporting gets murky as to when we'll know what to call Washington's team moving forward.
