Conservative Jack Cashill Argues Against Masks And Regrets His Endorsement Of Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas
Conservative Jack Cashill contradicts mainstream medical advice with his most recent op/ed regarding the coronavirus.
His intro tease:
"If you are a millennial in metro Kansas City, your chances of dying from COVID-19 are close to zero. I have a book coming out in August titled "Unmasking Obama" (available for pre-order at Amazon). I might have to title my next book "Unmasking America." That is, if I have stomach enough to write it."
To be fair, BBC probably isn't working for the deep state and they offer this bit of well researched reasoning: Why we should all be wearing face masks
Here's he right-wing political opposition to medical research from Mr. Cashill . . .
"Mask wearing: Progressives' new virtue signaling
Here's the money line and hardcore reference to Kansas City politics . . .
"Like Democratic mayors everywhere, however, our mayor, Quinton Lucas, has put Kansas City under the kind of Draconian orders that would have made the mayor of Wuhan envious.
"Our so-called "reopening" scheduled for May 15 is so inherently flawed and self-defeating I am embarrassed to having actually endorsed Lucas for mayor. I take small consolation in knowing his progressive, lesbian opponent would have been worse."
Meanwhile, we can offer only an interesting anecdotal aside given that some conservative denizens of our our blog community still support social distancing and the masks as a harmless precautionary measure with a proven benefit and little to no risk to citizens.
Historical reference also worth a read . . .
Protesting During A Pandemic Isn’t New: Meet The Anti-Mask League Of 1918
You decide . . .
Don't agree with all of his statements but he makes some good points that deserve to be considered.
ReplyDeleteJack is the only real alternative to the other compliant media. I'm glad he is speaking up.
ReplyDelete^^ He's still wrong. Weird.
ReplyDeleteBatshit crazy.
ReplyDeleteI always wear a mask in public.
ReplyDeleteYou should, too.
"If you are a millennial in metro Kansas City, your chances of dying from COVID-19 are close to zero."
Your chances of passing the virus onto others, because you won't wear a mask in public approaches 100%.
Big deal, Jack. Everyone regrets their endorsement of Lucas. Weird.
ReplyDeleteWearing masks is just theater. I have seen TV reporters on location in empty spaces wearing them. Jack is right, it is a form of virtue signalling, but also propaganda and social control.
ReplyDeleteHerd immunity is continuing to develop here in the US. There will be no second wave.
Crisis Crazies are selling herd immunity before we even know if immunity lasts more than a few days after recovery from CV19.
DeleteJack regrets his endorsement of Lucas? Well, if he hadn’t jumped his ass on the bandwagon he might not be regretting this. To be clear, vomiting for Justus would have been equally catastrophic. Canady was the best option as Mayor (and I hate admitting that.) Lucus is Justus in BLACK face. We had no clear alternatives... Clay Chastain would have been a better Mayor than Lucus.
ReplyDelete^^^ Sane Clay or the current Clay?
ReplyDeleteJack knows where the grift lies. Conservative weirdo's love buying up shit that confirms their beliefs. I'm sure he'll make a nice chunk of change off his stupid book.
ReplyDeleteIt's about Obama because he doesn't want to talk about the Trump years.
DeleteSo if you have the coronavirus and wear a mask, touching that mask would greatly infect your fingers and everything you touch - gloves or not. That's why I think the mask is of limited value, mostly just stopping some airborne spread by filtering the virus after coughing, sneezing or slobbering while you talk. And if you're doing any of these, you'rereally infecting your mask with a lot of coronavirus and perhaps making the mask a greater risk to others. About the only way to help with that situation is to continually change your mask, which I doubt many people are doing in public.
ReplyDeletein search of provocative soundbites too much. often they are right, but he's wrong here. he prioritizes irresponsable individualism at the expense of the western civilization solidarity.
ReplyDeleteJack should be prosecuted for trying to practice medicine without a license.
ReplyDeleteJack should be thrown in a cage of tigers and eaten alive. Case solved.
ReplyDelete"I am embarrassed to having actually endorsed Lucas for mayor."
ReplyDeleteWhew! I've been waiting for that admission.
Never understood why Cashill gave his endorsement to Quinton "Born a poor Black child...Professor DUI...Selfie...Quagmire" Lucas.
Did Justice move to Frisco yet? She sure aint around here.
ReplyDelete"Your chances of passing the virus onto others, because you won't wear a mask in public approaches 100%." Crappy logic, again. It is not the person who does not wear the mask who might spread the virus (masks don't stop virus spores), it's the people who come into contact with that unmasked man.
ReplyDeletemasks save lives!
ReplyDeleteNothing like dying from Coronavirus to own the libs.
ReplyDeleteYou go, Jack.
That's what chuck's headstone says.
Delete"Died of Coronavirus but owned the libs"
RIP chuck
Just think if Pence gets the bug and so does his dear leader, then under the 25th Nancy is President.......NO MASKS for Trump and Pence.
ReplyDeleteYES, Nancy for President, that sounds like a fun time.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteJack Cashill!
Writing a book about President Obama!
That's hilarious!
A very white, middle- to upper-class very conservative, writing about our only black President.
I bet he'll be all open-minded and fair and everything.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA
A revisit of the Obama 'legacy' is very much in order. Aside from the failures of that administration, the Nixonian overreach now becoming more and more obvious in the Flynn matter will put the sainthood of our first black president into some doubt.
DeleteBet you'll look into that with both of your brain cells and all your eighth grade writing skills, eh mo? After all, you are a beacon of impartiality yourself.
Oh wait, no you're not. Talk about hilarity! Except you're the joke.
ReplyDeleteGreat point, 8:35.
And spot on, 10:55.
Why not talk about both Obama and Trump? They're different brands, but both of them are weak in their own ways.
DeleteOh wait. Forgot. Orange Man Bad y'all!
Funny, Niggas wear masks to rob a place, won't wear them for their own safety.
ReplyDeleteand yet Obama is universally loved & respected around the world. Unlike Trump. Weird.
ReplyDelete'Universally' definitely does not mean what you think it means, or your universe is quite small.
DeleteWas at trader joes the other day. Line full of frustrated mask wearing middle aged women.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete"Your chances of passing the virus onto others, because you won't wear a mask in public approaches 100%"
Where did you get that 'approaches 100%'?
How about if you use cash or open a door with your bare hands, your chances of passing the virus onto others is about 68%.
Weird, the WH is now requiring those worthless facemasks to be worn at all times unless you are at your own desk.
ReplyDelete12:27 - you referring to that Flynn matter that almost 2000 former DOJ officials wrote a letter over condemning the action Barr took?
ReplyDeleteTake your tin foil bullshit conspiracy theories and head on back to your basement. The charges being dropped were nothing more than a political job. Barr is essentially Trump's Consigliere. Nothing more, nothing less.
Nah. Keep up. The DOJ dropped the case, not a conspiracy. The FBI has been demonstrated to have engaged in egregious conduct, not a conspiracy. Have you even heard 9f Durhsm, snowflake?
DeleteOh, you will, when Obamanixon starts being asked some difficult questions:)
The 2000 signers are no more than former Swamp creatures. Apparently setting up a prosecution trap for an American citizen who has committed no other crime was business as usual for them. The rot is deeper than even cynics suspected.
ReplyDeleteI used to see Jack on Friday afternoons sitting at one of the sidewalk cafes on the Plaza while holding forth on various subjects. I talked to him a few times and two words describe him...arrogant dick.
ReplyDelete^^^Wow Gladys Kravitz, thanks for the news! Gossiping little bitch. Mind your own business, but a life, and go the fuck away.
ReplyDeleteTriggered Chimpy, so sad! Lol.
DeleteIs it settling in that you're our clown? Hurry up! The caps lock guy is funnier than you!
Cashill's reading audience is over 70.
ReplyDeleteThis man obviously is with an agenda and racist. What is so terrible about wearing a mask for safety of oneself and others? The Mayor took a bold decision and yet did it pragmatically, for the Kansas citians. If he opened up businesses quickly or put an end to COVID-19 restrictionists aka masks, Cashill and his ilk would still put him in a shit-hole. Cashill should write nothing, least of all a book on Obama. How about a book on say a Political Witch-hunt and give the former President his due respect.
