Hamilton Files Q1 Report with $2.15 Million in the Bank

Self-Made Plumber, Political Outsider Raises $156K in 48 Hours

Bucyrus, Kan. – Successful business-owner, plumber and political outsider Bob Hamilton filed his first campaign finance report in the race for U.S. Senate, announcing $2.15 million in the bank with $156,050 in contributions raised in the two days Hamilton was a candidate prior to the 2020 first quarter FEC filing deadline.

“I am a constitutional conservative and a political outsider who knows what it takes to create jobs and run a business,” said Hamilton. “Washington is broken, and I am the one candidate who has made a career of fixing what is broken. If you want to drain the swamp, elect a plumber.”

Hamilton announced his candidacy on March 30, one day prior to the deadline for first quarter campaign finance reports. Hamilton loaned his campaign $2 million and collected contributions from 88 individuals in two days.

A father of 12 children, Bob, and his wife Teresa, built Bob Hamilton Plumbing Heating A/C Rooter & Electrical service & repair, starting with one truck and Teresa answering the phones in 1983. Hamilton built the company into a successful enterprise that now employs more than 150 workers in the Kansas City area, providing good-paying jobs and benefits.

“Kansas deserves to have someone in Washington who is focused on what is best for the people, not their own political future,” said Hamilton. “I invested my own money in this campaign because I believe in Kansas, and like the President, I know what it will take to rebuild our economy and defend our values so the next generation can live the American Dream.”
