"Will Chinese Collection At Kansas City Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Art Temporarily Shut Down Over Caronavirus Fears???"
You dumbass.
The Chinese art exhibited at the Nelson is one of the finest collections in the West with more than 7,000 works from every phase of China’s artistic activity.
It's COMPLETELY SAFE, WILL NOT BE SHUT DOWN and remains one of the best attractions in KCMO.
Meanwhile, local rubes are more than ready to discriminate against Asian people.
Not so fun related headline: Don’t Worry About The Coronavirus. Worry About The Flu.

Health Officials In Kansas And Missouri Are On Alert For The Coronavirus
Kansas health officials are waiting for test results after a patient in Lawrence reported symptoms of the coronavirus. Local health officials are now more closely monitoring the possible spread of the virus. "Diseases are just an airplane ride away," said Nancy Tausz, health services division director of the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment.
Is anyone selling masks in Chiefs colors. Even better with Mahome's face on it.

ReplyDeleteWell the KU student in the Lawrence hospital probably infected 1,000's of KU students and staff. And the basketball team might get it too. We are gonna have a problem there. Student had just returned from China, visiting family in Wuhan. Ground zero.
ReplyDeleteB.S. but why don't u go ahead and stay under your bed until we give u the all clear.
DeleteI quit drinking Corona so I be ok.
ReplyDeleteChina has problems with contagions like this primarily because of population density, not politics, and only slightly because of hygiene. They live, work and function right on top of each other. It's much harder for that type of virus to easily spread here. Still worth being careful, but nothing to get scared about
ReplyDeletePeople, people, people: if the Chiefs win the Superbowl, then a huge parade and massive gathering of fans will take place just like after the Royals won. Couple this with warm temperatures and many extra people showing up, then going out to eat, shop, even just buy gas on the way home- and 20% of Kansas City could be exposed. 1 person with the virus who sneezes in the crowd could infect over 300 people. Its not a joke. The only good thing is kids stay in to play video games and dont spread flu like they used to decades ago. Good luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteDudes the undertakers are unusually happy.....
ReplyDeleteIf the 2% mortality rate holds up in Kansas City, and everyone here gets it, that equals 47,000 deaths. Most deaths will be people with lung issues - longterm smokers, heart patients, lung transplant patients. But mostly cigarette smokers. China has not released the smoking link- as so many there smoke it will cause panic. Few healthy non-smokers have died.
