Sure, JoCo students deeply care about collective bargaining and totes didn't want an early Friday . . . Here's the sketchy premise and teachable moment from local TV:
Shawnee Mission students walk out over new teacher contract
SHAWNEE, Kan. - Dozens of students in the Shawnee Mission School District walked out on Friday to protest a new contract for teachers approved by the Board of Education. The students, who gathered outside several SMSD schools at 11 a.m., said they don't agree with the unilateral contract, which the board approved on a 6-1 vote Thursday .
SHOWS HOW STUPID AN UNEDUCATED THESE KIDS ARE! BEING LED LIKE SHEEP. TEACHER UNION LOBBIES FOR MORE ILLEGALS. ILLEGALS DONT PAY TAXES OVER CROWD CLASS. STATE LOSES MONEY TEACHER DEMAND MORE MONEY DUE TO LARGER CLASSES. F THE TEACHER UNION!
ReplyDelete^^^ Blame teachers and students. Please do not target student with criticism they are only doing what they're taught.
ReplyDeleteI'd say 90 percent of the kids who walkout didn't know why they were walking out. They just wanted to be cool and get off class. Happens all the time.
ReplyDeleteGosh wish we could get a bunch snot nosed kids help us get a raise. Everyone needs a raise, Eat The Rich.
ReplyDeleteCome on you really think those kids give a hoot what those teachers are paid. This shows clearly how teachers care more about themselves than the students. The teachers behind this should be fired. You would have to think this is a violation of some sort. If a child is under 16 I would think they would have to have parents permission to be involved in a labor dispute.
ReplyDeletestudents should not be used as pawns in a labor dispute. They belong in the classroom This did not happen spontaneously. You know teachers set this up.
ReplyDelete^^^^ +100%
ReplyDeleteStockholm syndrome.
ReplyDeleteExpel the little bastards and fire the teachers who plotted this.
