This local biz takes a big share of City Hall contract work and so this report offers a bit more insight on the company and recent challenges they confront. Checkit:
OSHA fines KC contractor more than $200K for jobsite hazards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Federal officials observed a series of "repeat and serious" jobsite violations, which potentially put employees' lives in jeopardy, prompting a hefty fine and possible additional penalties. According to a release from the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, of Birmingham, Missouri, failed "to protect employees from trench collapse and electrical hazards" and has been fined $210,037.
KCMO contractors do this kind of shit every single day. And the City just looks the other way... Huh we didn't see nuttin.
ReplyDeleteWe need to tear down this old building. Weez got all our permits. It's just dust it ain't hurt nobody.
We warned you about Blue Nile multiple times before in this TKC free-speech zone:

Now if you're guessing that the owner of Blue Nile appears frequently on KCMO political campaign donation lists, while receiving significant construction-related contracts from the city of KCMO, you might be a GENIUS. Congratulations!
But, of course, this is absolutely nothing new in KCMO, where PAY-TO-PLAY is the name of the game. Please remember that during this mayoral campaign, it was Quinton Lucas who spoke aggressively and often on the need to reign in the practice of subsidizing real estate developers and the status quo who milk City Hall.
It's why they all hire a bunch of illegals. They can ask them to risk their lives for peanuts a day. They also know they wont bitch about safety.
ReplyDeleteUm as they drive through my yard daily I assure you those guys are legal. I get a pretty close view along with destruction and a lot of nuisance noise.
DeleteActually, closing the borders is not the issues here. There is a shortage of 60,000 OSHA Inspectors as mandated by the OSHA Act of 1972. The other issue not discussed in The OSHA ACT 1972 is conservative elements in the Democrat and Republican Party ran through the legislation as it was written in 1955 during the early days of NASA. This caused criticism of the OSHA ACT 1972 (circa 1955) that worked well for both political parties to introduce deregulation during The Carter Administration and later with the Reagan Administration, NAFTA with The Clinton Administration.
