Kansas City's old school form of transit persists with new pretty pictures . . . To wit . . .
KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR EXTENSION STOPS HOPE TO REVAMP THE BUSIEST PANHANDLING HANGOUT ON THE COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA!!!
I'm sure the junkie hobos will appreciate up close & personal contact with more locals.
Stolen without credit or mercy from a developer propaganda blog posing as "news" and pushing a pay for play agenda that has suppressed the citywide public vote . . .
"A proposed multi-modal streetcar stop by the Country Club Plaza would accommodate both north- and southbound streetcar riders and allow bus transfers . . . The tentative design of the streetcar stop at 39th and Main resembles existing downtown stops."
Across the street from this stop a guy was gunned down after leaving a nearby club and last night TKC witnessed a lady pushing a shopping cart in her underwear & flip flops wearing pretty impressive purple & orange hair extensions.
Developing . . .
Hey, poor people need transportation access too. I say build it and let the developers invest in the community. Better than what we've got there now!
ReplyDelete^^true that, but the Depends and Matlock set just need something to cry about. Watch this spot, it will be filled with gerries who are angry at a world that wants nothing to do with them.
ReplyDeleteYay! Chimpy bringing the same old shit! Dance for us, monkey!
DeleteAs long as there are "planners" and plenty of taxpayer money to pay them, there will continue to be "planning".
ReplyDeleteJust remember the $500,000 of Third District PIAC money that Reed generously gave to the "planners" who made believe THE streetcar might venture onto the east side.
PIAC money that could have, actually should have, been spent for infrastructure maintenance and repair in neighborhoods that really could have used the help.
Most of the "planning" money in KCMO disappears into thin air, like so many other totally unaccountable schemes and fads that are foisted onto the airheads at 12th and Oak.
Momentum!
A broken water main will stop a train faster than a speeding bullet. Both which can happen in good old democratic ran KC.

ReplyDeleteHey the Hyde Park residents will be glad to pay for the streetcar without the feds help. Bring it on.
7:45 that's because they are the ones paying the taxes that you and so many others who don't pay such think all those that do must pay more.
ReplyDelete^^Whaaaa!! Cry some more, come on now...Boo Hoo! Rinse. Repeat. ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
ReplyDeleteNo money in the bank, long-term financial obligations out the wazoo, no idea how to make up a pension shortfall of $700-million, but full steam ahead on this folly.
ReplyDeleteAnything to get more cars off the street. Public transportation is a good thing. Just have to manage it a bit.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Cars are a good thing
ReplyDeleteTrolley = slow moving target practice for the gun violence
ReplyDelete^^You=pants shitting geezer living in a rented trailer in Frogville.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you living at home with your parents ?
ReplyDeleteCelebrate!!! See you at the KC Streetcar expansion groundbreaking.
ReplyDeleteGod bless the heroic KCMO taxpayers for supporting the downtown amusement park ride!
ReplyDeleteOMG Maude! Have you ever seen anything like this streetcar thing!?!
ReplyDeleteMatlock. Remember these things along time ago before they went obsolete?
ReplyDeleteAmos! Look at that! A man in diapers juggling on the corner in a top hat! Damn is this place world class or what?
ReplyDeleteNow we have the latest proposed taxpayer screw out of millions of dollars fiasco, the "Green Line". We will, of course, need bike lanes painted on it to protect spandexers from dangerous joggers. This city is WOKE!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe streetcar is a great place for a bunch of homeless to get together and take a shit
ReplyDeleteKeep writing letters to Trump and tell him this is a waste!
ReplyDeleteRemind him KC metro votes Democrats in who spend spend spend.
Keep the petitions and writing alive!
