TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY NO-KILL CONSPIRACY EXPOSED: ANIMAL CONTROL TAKEOVER ELIMINATES MILLIONS IN STALLED PET PROJECT SHELTER DEBT!!!
The Kansas City campus for Animal Care claims that it'll be finished by the end of the year but that won't happen without a major cash infusion from City Hall.
And to be clear, that debt we're talking about in the post headline isn't really destroyed . . . It'll just be passed on to KCMO residents.
Background . . .
In 2017 KC Pet Project encouraged locals to support GO Bonds and said they would help to raise $8-MILLION BUCKS to help privately finance a new animal shelter. Again, we give credit where it's due, they claim to have raised $206K from private funders but now report that they only owe about a million dollars.
Now, here's the upshot from a committee substitute ordinance that will debuted very soon . . .
THE PROPOSED ANIMAL CONTROL TAKEOVER WILL ERADICATE KC PET PROJECT DEBT FOR THE NEW ANIMAL SHELTER AND TAXPAYERS WILL PAY FOR THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE DESPITE ACTIVIST PROMISES!!!
Given that construction now includes cost overruns and there's still a lot of work and equipment left to do on the interior . . .
THIS IS A BETRAYAL WITH A PRICE TAG OF ABOUT 10 MILLION BUCKS!!!
If there's a teachable moment for this controversy it's that activist promises don't mean much if politicos & voters don't hold them accountable for their election rhetoric. Again . . .
If anybody else but middle-class white women abandoned a $10-MILLION promise they'd be in jail or worse . . .
Still, most of the media refuses to ask questions about this cash or the BROKEN GO BOND DEAL soon to be completely discarded.
Sadly, this isn't the only controversy confronting this cursed animal endeavor . . .
- City Hall insiders are still angry about the NO BID CONSTRUCTION especially given the current cash infusion needed for finishing touches.
- The animal control takeover will terminate tons of white-working class and minority pet control pros at the behest of middle-class mostly JoCo based hotties. Push back against this effort is starting to gain traction.
- People still love puppies. The animal control takeover effort remains popular among the council, new mayor and local elites. It will likely pass given media silence on the topic.
And so, here's the doggie style conclusion . . .
The pattern of KCMO civic misbehavior is nearly Pavlovian -- Middle-class suburbanites stand up for a reasonably good cause and push an expensive agenda on Kansas City that ultimately incurs horrific expenditures and management troubles which,in turn, are then passed on to broke-ass urban taxpayers who are brow beaten for their support like an old dog hit over the head with a newspaper.
Developing . . .
Can we ask for repayment in lap dances?
ReplyDelete^^^ Dumbass. I would have went with a sniffing joke. You need to be on pooper scooper duty at the pet project for your politically incorrect comment.
DeleteThis sounds like a job for Danielle Reno!
DeleteThis topic came up earlier in this week and actually inspired me to do some research. The comments were 100% correct. The whole no-kill shelter policy is flawed and it's actually very cruel because these shelters won't take pets who need to be humanely put down. Handing over animal control to a bunch of do-gooders who obviously can't even manage to build a shelter under budget in less than two years is a big mistake.
ReplyDeleteAlready, I notice more stray dogs in the urban areas of KC but these women don't really care about that because they don't live here.
It doesn't seem like it but this will get worse when the weather gets colder because the dogs will be around local streets begging and roaming because we haven't dealt with the situation like adults instead of bleeding heart "activists" who don't want to pay their bills.
Before you ask, yes, I do know some of the people who will be fired because of the takeover. They are great with dogs and care just as much for them as those who work for the KC Pet Project.
^^^ Thank you for posting this, you certainly won't read about stuff like this in the newspaper. +1000
DeleteHere's the better question TKC. Why has it taken two years to build an animal shelter? Are the dogs and cats really that picky?
ReplyDeleteCould we all remember this BS at the next election and demand action and kept promises!!!
ReplyDelete"If anybody else but middle-class white women abandoned a $10-MILLION promise they'd be in jail or worse . . . "
ReplyDeleteNot so sure. Where are the curbs and sidewalks promised to get us to vote for the GO Bonds?
Repeal the earnings tax!!!
ReplyDelete^^tried it. Twice. Didn't work.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Good point. KC taxpayers keep falling for this non sense so I guess they deserve what they get.
ReplyDeleteThis city is corrupt as fuck
ReplyDeletePut down all the pitbulls and sell the meat to the Chinese to fund the shelter for pet worthy breeds.
ReplyDeleteI'd vote for this.
DeleteOr put down the gangbangers that over breed the poor dog for profit in dogfighting and while we are at it put down the queers too.
DeleteHate to say it but if KC didn't get that promise in writing it's not worth the paper it's printed on. But if they did and this is a renegotiation then KC Pet Project should pay what they owe.
ReplyDeletePut down Byron and sell his organs to the chinese to fund the shelter. That way he wont be a completey worthless waste of a human.
ReplyDeleteThe value of his organs has less value than 5 shares of Sprint stock.
Delete11:51--Hey, for about a week, bLIErob is posting as anonymous. Hmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteIf anybody else but middle-class white women abandoned a $10-MILLION promise they'd be in jail or worse . . .
ReplyDeleteSorry but I object to this comment. Even white women or any woman is not going to jail for this because the #metoo movement won't allow women to be held accountable or responsible for their actions. They can use sex to get their way and if they don't it is characterized as sexual assault. Men are not given that privilege, except in cities with the NDO's. (Shawnee, Olathe, Phariy Village, etc)
Only men of any proclivity (except gay) would be punished! Men are horrible creatures and all of them fit that description and they should all be punished!
^^^ True. Pound me in the ass prison awaits for those of us not in the "protected" classes.
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church is all about erect penises. Its a male run organization. Nuns are treated as rubbish. it always has been. Centuries ago boys were castrated to remain in the choir and be sex slaves. Yes there are pervs everywhere. But there should be a whole lot less in a church that calls itself the true church of God, filled with Godly followers that follow the scriptures. But that's NOT what the catholic church is. Funny that you don't hear of nuns being charged with sex abuse. Just the perv priests. Its a penis organization. Womens lib should attack it. But they are too scared.
ReplyDeleteAnd how is this about the animal shelter? Did I miss something somewhere!
ReplyDeletewait until the city starts to pick up the maintenance and operation tab (and bond payments) for the street car in 10 yrs. It only takes a couple well placed (politically) to cry to city council to pass an ordinance.
ReplyDeleteSkirt the Vote!!!! No one will notice. It just happened here.
Everything that sLIE touched during his dictatorship has gone south in a hurry, why is everybody surprised by this latest failure of his?
ReplyDelete2:48 - the catholic church treats pet animals better than children. That's what its about! Animals over people. Kids get raped, pets get loved.
ReplyDeleteThis entire article is bullshit. It hasn’t taken two years to build the new shelter and taxpayers won’t be paying for it. If the current Animal Control process was working, the city would not have outsourced it. KCPP will provide education and resources to residents, so they can take better care of their pets and fewer animals will end up at the shelter. KCPP routinely takes in sick and elderly dogs who receive care in the vet clinic or are placed in foster hospice. Somebody is feeding you bad information.
ReplyDelete^^^ But where's the money?
ReplyDeleteAll you're saying is your opinion and that's fine but at least TKC provided links to Go bond vote and the fundraising totals.
Where's the money that KCPP promised to help build the shelter? If you can tell us where the money is, maybe then we will believe you. That's the most important detail and the readers of this blog are the only ones asking.
2:48 we have to pay eight million dollars for animals dumped on the street by people who don’t want them. If the animals were so loved why do we need so many pet shelters? You really are a retard aren’t you
ReplyDeleteThe capital campaign is being run by the Kansas City Campus for Animal Care with whom KCPP reports to. The $200,000+ is what KCPP has raised. The city wouldn’t not have gone forward with construction if the money hasn’t been raised. We need animal shelters because people don’t spay and neuter their pets or don’t take care of them. The city by law has to have a shelter. We’re lucky to have KCPP. Eight years ago it was a death camp.
ReplyDelete^^^^ $200,000 is not 8 million, it's not even 1 million and they've had two years to get their business together. The money HAS NOT been raised. Taxpayers are picking up the slack. That is not what was promised. KCPP LIED. How can you deny that?
ReplyDelete^^^ reminds me of the promises the City, the IAFF, and KCFD made when they merged Mast into the fag department!
ReplyDeleteIts crazy when you have a city government who gives less than 5 shits about a citizen unless a citizen voted for them, and once they got the vote, forgot about the citizens who voted for them. Kansas City is still a MOB town, corruption in every direction. Top earners of corruption in this city are - City Hall, KCFD, KCPD, The IAFF, Jean Peters Baker, and the rest of the Jackson County Government. Homicides in Kansas City are just a distraction, so while they play their games you can expect to see what you have been seeing with no intention of a fix for many years to come. KCMO is TRASH!
ReplyDelete2:48 is pro abortion but anti dog killer, typical killa shitty dummocrap right there.
ReplyDeleteThere is a clear problem with the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Voters continue to vote for projects and the city managers team develops a pretty PowerPoint presentation of the effectiveness, while behind the scene they transfer funds to other funds. They are NEVER held accountable and it is common knowledge. City employees see what is going on and are powerless, as more city jobs are OUTSOURCED based on the concocted projections from the city manager. When will citizens hold city hall accountable for these fabricated or ill conceived projections?
