Long, long ago it was advised that politicos should never argue with people who buy ink by the barrel.
Nowadays, Internets slap fighting among politicos vs. reporters is encouraged by social media algorithms desperate to drive traffic and share of mind for their platforms. Also, credit Prez Trump in leading the way for politicos to push back against the MSM.
Accordingly, in a somewhat recent tweet, take a look at an elected law enforcement official spreading more than a little bit of salt the way of two newspaper workers with careers that span decades:
"Was @kcmikehendricks fired from @KCStar today. Hope it’s not true because he hasn’t corrected the numerous errors in his last story. Please ask his supervisor to contact me. What ever happened to @bshelly? Is it true she transferred to the Globe? I enjoy reading your newspaper."
Link and screen grab saved for Internets archives:
Remember that the Jackson County Sheriff recently started an online flame war with the Lee's Summit newsies, now he seems even more emboldened to move from community reporter squabbles and step up his game against corporate news denizens.
And so the sharp death spiral of newspaper journalism persists as politicos now openly mock reporters with Prez Trump leading the trend against the media.
Developing . . .
Jackson County needs to appoint and not elect the sheriff. It would take a lot of the pressure away from that position.
ReplyDeleteForte is vapid. He ruined the brand of KCMOPD and is not doing any better for the Sheriffs office. He tends to be an embarrassment wherever he goes.
ReplyDeleteForte wins. Sorry beetches.
ReplyDeleteThe Mueller Report shows that the biggest purveyor of "fake news" was Der Fuhrer.
ReplyDeleteAnd 200 more people side with trump after reading your post. Get it. We are citizens to. And we have 1 vote each. It's a democracy and each vote counts the same. Will u ever get it? Shut up would be wise libtard.
DeleteEnough with Der Fuhrer already! It became tedious a long time ago. In your own way you are as boring and repetitive as Mr. Petersucker and Geezer Boy. Think up something new.
ReplyDeleteShut up, faggot.
DeleteThe biggest purveyor of "fake news and Government fraud" is none other than Byron.
ReplyDeleteon this Forte is funny. Sorry newspaper losers. You are the fake news.
ReplyDeleteObviously not much of a reader if he can't tell the difference between Barb and Jenee.
ReplyDeleteBut he's a negro so he probably can't read at all.
Sheriff Overtime, the brittle diversity hire, doing what he does best; attending to his image and playing online.
ReplyDeleteSince when does his job description include tweeting about the news? I didn’t realize that was part of his job, I thought his job was to protect and serve the public, not his vanity.
ReplyDeleteForte', Shelly, and Hendricks.
ReplyDeleteTruly a winning combination!
Hahahaha!!
3:57 the point is it’s not his job period.
ReplyDeleteforte has a right to joke around, they coverage from the newspaper has been truly laughable.
ReplyDeleteThe Twitter profile for @sheriffforte clearly identifies the account as belonging to the Jackson County sheriff. I'm pretty sure county policy prohibits employees from making these kinds of comments on social media if their social media account identifies then as being a county employee.
ReplyDeleteNegro mayor, Negro Sheriff, headlines full of negros killing negros, any questions?
ReplyDelete9:30 - Thats the definition of a "common denominator"!! There wont be any questions because actions of all 3 catagories are proof of what the fuck is wrong in this city!!, be right back gotta punch my chained to a tree pitbull in the throat - he barks to much, and I have white neighbors!!
ReplyDeleteFunny shit! The Chief wins this round but he's gotta know that he's not making any friends for reporters.
