Behind the scenes and more than any other KCMO dept., insiders tell us that the KC AVIATION DEPT. is absolutely opposed to a Quinton Lucas mayoral administration and THAT might be the most important endorsement he has received thus far.

City Hall denizens already know the score but let's make this one plain for the plebs . . .

- More than anything, Aviation leaders are afraid of who Quinton Lucas will appoint to committee and in terms of oversight.

- Quinton Lucas has been critical of the airport process and Aviation fears that he'll make drastic changes to the New KCI plan if elected. 

- The Jolie Justus team has promised that a shake up will NOT happen if the Council Lady rises to the rank of Mayor. These back channel negotiations have led most City Hall workers to side with Jolie but Aviation leads the way more vehemently than anyone else.
