KMBC: Amtrak temporarily suspends service between Kansas City, St. Louis

The railroad service said there is increased freight train traffic because of flooding in the Midwest.

Amtrak said in a news release that chartered buses will cover the Amtrak route and stop at all stations as close to the train schedules as possible, but delays are to be expected.
Passengers were urged check their train status on Amtrak.com before departing.

ReplyDeleteActually, this is a pretty big deal because a lot of people travel to Jefferson City using this route. The shut down should show the Legislature that Missouri should be preparing for greater flooding this year.
