TKC MUST SEE!!! SHOCK!!! SLEAZE SCUMMIT SUPERINTENDENT DR. CARPENTER CAUGHT IN GOOD TIME BIRD FLIP BOOZING SOCIAL MEDIA SNAFU!!!

Tonight an Internets life lesson on the topic of party time "oversharing" confronts a local educator and creates a ruckus across the metro . . .

SLEEZE SCUMMIT IS ABUZZ OVER COLLEGE FOOTBALL GOOD TIMES ENJOYED DR. CARPENTER!!!

There's actually more context here . . .

Dr. Carpenter has been in hot water since he transferred from Hickman Mills. The latest controversy involved diversity training and teacher union outrage.

Now this debate has developed on racial lines with most African-American residents supporting the school leader whilst many white parents and his critics from the district calling out alleged hypocrisy -- They argue that any other teacher or administrator would confront some sort of disciplinary consequences if  similar photo was uncovered.

Our blog community notes the "vultures" circling . . . Here was first word on the story . . .

"A staff member from the district sent me a photo of the superintendent that appears to be circulating via social media, along with a statement released by Superintendent Dr. Carpenter . . . I think lots of parents, teachers, and residents here in Lee’s Summit would want to know this happened, especially since any employee of the district would likely be fired or reprimanded for representing themselves and the school district in this way."

The Green Summit Dispatch picked up on the hot mess and here's the only relevant part from an op/ed post on the topic . . .

"We do know that the photo is the Superintendent, it's not doctored and that it was taken Thanksgiving weekend Nov 24th at the Georgia Southern vs. Georgia State football game in Atlanta. Georgia Southern is Carpenter's alma mater. Social media posts suggested everything from 2 weeks ago to Southern's bowl game Dec 15th to years ago. You can't often believe social media. You should ask.

The following statement was sent by a district employee on Dr. Carpenter's behalf:

"As the leader of the Lee's Summit R-7 School District, I care deeply about representing our district and our community responsibly. I am aware of and concerned about an image of me enjoying time with family and friends that has been brought into the public light. It's unfortunate that this photograph has surfaced. As such, I'm committed to discussing the image with the Board of Education and moving forward," Dr. Dennis L. Carpenter, Superintendent.

The following is editorial content from Publisher, Phil Kloster:
Social media is nasty business sometimes, especially today. The picture was brought to my attention when it appeared on the profile of a prominent white Lee's Summit businessman. He raised the question (paraphrased), why isn't Dr. Carpenter facing disciplinary action when we know teachers, students and district employees would?

And so we put it to you . . .

SHOULD THE LEE'S SUMMIT SUPERINTENDENT SUFFER DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR THIS PHOTO SILLINESS?!?!

You decide . . .
