New polling has Kansas City insiders picking sides and switching allegiances quickly in order to stay ahead of a crowded field where anything could happen.
Nevertheless . . .
NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY NUMBERS CLAIM COUNCIL MEMBERS SCOTT TAYLOR IS TIED WITH JOLIE JUSTUS FOR THE LEAD IN THE RACE WHILST COUNCILMAN QUINTON LUCAS RUNS A CLOSE THIRD!!!
Let's do the math here . . . These numbers are pushed by the DNC so obviously party connections are the most important thing they're looking to reinforce. Still the data sheds light on Council Dude Scott Taylor's inroads with Beltway insiders and D.C. backup that put him ahead of most of the other contenders.
Of special note . . .
Council dude Scott Wager hasn't risen above 6% in any poll we've seen and that's disappointing given his Northland roots. Everybody else has faded into the background according to the consultant class and their flash poll data.
As always, we advise locals to take all of this polling with a grain of salt but so many political experts are pushing these numbers . . . They're worth mentioning for this morning. FIRST on TKC.

All good Democrats to be sure. Did they do a good job in the city council. 2 out of three of them only wanted one term. That says a lot.

The majority of the people probably do not care if their mayor takes it standing up, laying down or on all fours as long as the mayor is competent, not in the developers back pocket, honest, transparent and works for the people in making the town better.

ReplyDeleteThe KCMO Democrats have done enough financial damage to the city. Time for change. It’s really sad when a city has to resort to massive corporate welfare at the expense of its citizens. We have an airport debacle and a per capita murder rate higher than Chicago. KCMO public schools have democrat written all over it and look what they are producing.
Too bad Teresa Loar is not running for mayor. Her support for dogs and cats would really make her campaign take off. Everyone likes dogs and cats! It’s the only platform plank that would guarantee she would be on the right side of at least one issue. #CatHoardersForTeresa

The KC area has lots of great reasons to live here, but NONE of them have anything at all to do with the almost comically dysfunctional, incompetent, irresponsible, and totally ineffectual KCMO city government.
