Reality check for the "creative class" and their endeavors just a stone's throw from from the toy train streetcar line . . . Apparently East Crossroads hope and so much alleged biz development couldn't keep this REALLY DELIGHTFUL biz afloat . . . Here's their side of the story that seems hopeful despite FAIL near the loop:
Startup connector Thou Mayest closing Crossroads coffee shop, hints at new flagship - Startland News
Thou Mayest plans to shutter its Crossroads coffee shop - a popular collision point for startup leaders and community members - on Christmas Eve, founder Bo Nelson said this week, teasing a pivot to an enhanced wholesale operation and search for a new retail home.
Good riddance
ReplyDeleteHope this is the beginning of the end for everything Hipster
Ohhhh noooooo!!! This is terrible news for 11 people who frequented this coffee shop. Wow!! Where will they go, what will they do?
ReplyDelete"longtime customers of the Crossroads location shared memories of personal and professional connections made at the busy meetup spot."
ReplyDeleteNow it is out where the gays made their connections.
Is this the coffee shop Sherice David's owes the investors $20,000 for going under ?
ReplyDeleteIf 2 guys are having sex and the house catches on fire. Who gets out first, the guy on top or the guy on the bottom? The guy on the bottom cause he's already got his shit packed.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe not enough people want to be customers in a business where you have to stomach a big wad of pretentiousness with your overpriced coffee.
ReplyDeleteJust another opportunity for a grand opening of yet another "maker" business in the location of "the former" whatever.
Success around every corner!
Sad to see this go. I don't give a shit about coffee shops but it sucks when smaller ones with personality are forced out to make way for chain shit. This has been happening a lot here. I used to live in Austin and that's exactly what happened there to make the place soulless and unliveable
