Already we notice the local National Weather Service working to lower expectations . . .
"Some questions about the definition of a blizzard...it a common misconception that amount of snow is a criteria but, here is the definition by NWS standards... .A blizzard means that the following conditions are expected to prevail for a period of 3 hours or longer: Sustained wind or frequent gusts to 35 miles an hour or greater; & Considerable falling and/or blowing snow (i.e., reducing visibility frequently to less than ¼ mile)"
Important stuff for air travel and possibly providing more perspective on recent Kansas City weather newsie panic.
You decide . . .
It's a global climate change conspiracy!
ReplyDeleteGary is getting an erection.
ReplyDeleteHe is getting an erection, but he doesn’t know if it’s 3 inches or nine inches.
ReplyDeleteAll the weather folks are hard and wet this morning, even at home. If they all got together it would be a porn storm. Don't get close to one unless you want screwed.

ReplyDeleteYeah but nothing tops bogowith. Every morning i want to smack that big ass of hers before I walk out the door.
DeleteIt was originally 6am to 6pm.
ReplyDeleteTravel discouraged and tune in for more.
Then last night they said 9am to 9pm.
It’s over 40 degrees and no snow and mild gusts of wind.
People get onto Trump for fake news yet we citizens have to balance the liberal baloney of bad weather forecasts with incompetence and have to decide what is what.
So... going to take a walk in the “white out conditions” in the blizzard and wonder what other fake news will come this way as the meteoriologists continue to avoid talking about meteors and go with what they don’t know.
Maybe someday we will return to real meteorologists who know what they are doing instead of entertainers, tweeters, and instagram idiots seeking social media attention.
ReplyDelete6:49---Or a circle jerk
ReplyDeletePeople acting like it has never snowed around here. I'm more worried about power outages due to untrimmed trees falling on powerlines than the snow amounts.
ReplyDeleteI'm more worried about people shoveling snow and dying of heart attacks.
DeleteExcept for you, Larson. Go for it.
Maryville is getting absolutely hammered right now, it’s really bad there.
ReplyDeleteJoe Lauria absolutely sucks. Can talk about the forecast for 10 min and not say anything.
ReplyDeleteNever fear people, kcmo has this under control, downtown will be cleared curb to curb with snow plows running there for as long as they need, the sidewalks will be cleared and ready for those hipster thingys they ride! the rest of the city, well, you’re screwed!
ReplyDelete10:35 for the winner
DeleteOMG the weather people are tweet storming! "talking snow and showing you what is happening outside your home"
ReplyDeleteThe snow is talking!
Weez bringin ya all da latest shit via twitter and facebooks. Tunez in to either and like all my posts and refer and share wit freindz.
ReplyDeleteToo warm to stick.
ReplyDeleteChannel 5 has their weather on KSMO right now. Spectrum Channel 10. Erin Little's lookin' fine . Yummy.
ReplyDeleteI was skeptical at first. But we just achieved whiteout in Shawnee, 12:55.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the Chiefs have a bye week!!!
Shut up old woman. Stay on your worthless blog
ReplyDeleteNot a city plow with salt to be found anywhere on the real east side, anybody seen one on kcmo side today? Besides downtown?
ReplyDelete3500 block of Charlotte 1:00 pm
DeleteGary Lezak was predicting 9 inches but he was talking about snow.
ReplyDeleteI mulched leaves at 10:30 in a full ski jacket, balaclava and goggles. Neighbor was looking at me kind of strange, but that chump was just in a long sleeve shirt not knowing we were in whiteout conditions. He's lucky I didn't lose track of the mower and mulch him too.
ReplyDeleteNot a city plow with salt to be found anywhere on the real east side, anybody seen one on kcmo side today? Besides downtown?
ReplyDeleteYes on our block where a few McMansions were recently built.
The city’s website for tracking their snow plows shows how little they’ve done to plow snow right now, they knew this was coming and still managed to royally screw this up, sLIE’s probably on his second bottle of scotch crying about how all his free developer money could be spent on clearing streets.
ReplyDelete2:44 gotta take care of the rich people, the mayoral candidates need their money
ReplyDelete^^^Yip
ReplyDeleteOnce the snow stops they'll be able to clear the major interstates and roadways. All should be okay by tomorrow morning. Side roads will be a challenge but its manageable.
ReplyDelete^^^ I doubt that, the city screws plowing streets up every year, the real eastside hasn’t seen any plows yet while the central core or “the fake eastside” has been plowed more than once, same ole same ole with these clowns
ReplyDeleteIt's a fucking mess.
ReplyDeleteNonsense I just drove from downtown to Independence in ten minutes. Roads are wide open everywhere.
ReplyDelete6:25 you drove the highway, we know those get taken care of
ReplyDeleteTrue story-
ReplyDeleteThe neighbor put a picture of the KC Star editorial board in his driveway-
The damn snow all melted from the hot air in no time.
But no worries he didn’t buy a paper- he just googled it and showed his driveway... their paywall doesn’t work right so it’s free... still too damn expensive as they should pay the public to read until the reach parity on politics.
