TKC QUESTION: BLUE WAVE STAYS WINNING KANSAS CITY?!?!?

Apropos for the local water world forecast . . . Right now we question local commitment to partisan politics and wonder if the Kansas City metro provides an important bellwether . . .

IS THE BLUE WAVE WINNING MORE HEARTS AND MINDS IN KANSAS CITY THAN PREZ TRUMP SUPPORTERS!?!?

Last night we noticed Jackson County Dems holding one of many GOTV meetups and across the metro it just seems like the Democratic Party has more "momentum" -- For lack of a better word -- Than metro Republicans.

As far as City Hall politics, the elections are non partisan and whilst Clay Chastain does a really great Prez Trump impersonation, he's more of a transit dude than hardline Conservative. The reality is that the winner of the KCMO elections usually has a great deal of Democratic Party support . . . Nevertheless, local politics will influence the House, Senate and Statewide races in November that might (or might not) benefit from the rising tide of KCMO election hype.

  1. Kansas City has been a Democratic Party controlled City for more than 75 years but I see your point. Noticed that KC democratic women are kicking in a lot of cash to Sharice and McCaskill. Those are really the biggest beneficiaries of all this hysteria.

Both of them are likely to win because of it. Sorry but that's just a fact.

  2. Progressives in KC would vote for Bill Cosby or OJ Simpson for mayor if they had a chance. That’s how stupid they are.

  4. Don't know why KCMO would support McCaskill. She hasn't done much for this city other than leaving.

For all you idiots who vote to keep that Blue Wave coming in keep doing the same and before long there won't be a city left to vote anyone to office in.

The democrats have been running this town now for some time and look at where things are at? You're taxed to death and crime is rampant.

So if you people/voters were smart you would build a breakwater of Republicans to keep that Blue Wave from ruining what little is left.

  6. Progressives are stupid they take the side of a women who says she was attacked 36 years with no evidence but they support bill Clinton and Hillary who defended a 40 year old who raped a 12 year old after she destroyed evidence and made the 40 year old man a victim then laughed about it. Its a fact liberals according to some doctors are mentally unstable

  7. Assuming all women, minorities and LGBTs are Democrats is racist. Trump has done more with no help for the economy than the last four presidents combined

  9. Nov 1, 2016 - A model that has correctly predicted the winner of every U.S. presidential race since Ronald Reagan in 1980 is forecasting a big victory for Hillary Clinton. Clinton is expected to get 332 electoral votes, while Trump is predicted to get just 206, according to Moody's

  12. Jackson County has become the perfect Liberal Utopia thanks to Sly Bow Tie The Tweeter James. A noisy, frantic, rude, incoherent, corrupt, crime ridden wreck of a city way over it's head in debt to boot! Plus KCMO residents are NOW FORCED to pay for the poor leadership displayed by City Managers for decades.

  14. Blue Wave - The shrieks from the gallery of the Senate chamber as the vote came in on Saturday, and the sight of that bawling mob clawing at the doors of the Supreme Court as the new justice took his oath, confirm it.

  15. The party out of power always makes gains in the midterm elections (see Obama) so let's not pretend like that's any big deal and the Dems always win in KCMO (even though it's technically nonpartisan) and as a result, there's a lot of corruption and mismanagement.

  20. Tony you have proven time and again you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Your insiders tell you bullshit just to make you look foolish, you make stuff up and then, on top of that, your "think pieces" are vapid cliche-ridden plates of nothing burger.

    Why bother anymore?

  24. 1:29 proves the stupidity of the right.

You'e been fooled for 45 years. 14 out of 18 SCOTUS justices since the 1970s were GOP picks and Roe still stands as law.

Cheer all you like about Kavanaugh, but he isn't overturning Roe either.

And the goal is the ultimate stupidity. If Roe were ever reversed, that doesn't make abortion illegal. You aren't saving babies by voting for "prolife" people for Congress or President. But they will gladly take your vote to rob taxpayers blind. That goes for your evangelical leaders (fake religion) living in mansions and flying on private jets too.

They convinced you 3 time married sexual predator that sleeps with porn stars, walks in on undressed underage pageant girls, assaults women, and paid for abortions is your prophet.

    Suckers.

  26. The GOP loves angry mobs.

They are shouting that their mob is louder and angrier than the limp wristed dems. Plus they have guns.

Republicans aren't scared but need to make sure their base is. MOBS! MS-13!! Gay mafia forcing you to bake cakes!!!

I guess people aren't buying the fake news about this so called "great" economy.

    1. Hey, Hillary told us today that Bill's rapes were different! ;)

And those were actual things that happened, not the endless stream of failed bullshit you keep slinging at the successful President.

So funny. Keep screaming at the sky. By no means develop any message for the voters you've demonized and ridiculed for more than two years.

And you wonder why you keep losing. :)

  27. 4:07, you're partially right on that. It is my guess here soon that the SCOTUS will make the decision that abortions are to be decided by each individual state. And for those saying that Kansas City is a democratic stronghold,no kidding. Most Blacks vote that way and now millennials because they want to get as much federal money as possible. A progressive black will continue to do that for them. I mean Ray "Make this city chocolate again" Nagin in New Orleans. Mayor Marion "The pipes" Barry of Washington D.C. are prime examples of this. Both have done time in the federal penn and my last dollar says if they ran today, they'd be elected. Why? Mo government money for the leeches.
