MAKE YOUR BET: WILL KANSAS CITY STREETS AND SEWERS FLOOD TODAY?!?!

The forecast today calls for typical late Summer rain and that means one thing . . .

ONCE AGAIN WE REMIND KANSAS CITY THAT NEARLY EVERY TIME IT RAINS, IT FLOODS!!! MIDDAY STORMS THREATEN TO DROWN DAYTIME TRAFFIC IN PROBLEMS SO THAT THE SCOPE OF INFRASTRUCTURE FAIL MIGHT FINALLY SINK IN FOR LOCAL DRIVERS !!!

Accordingly . . .

NAME YOUR FAVORITE FREQUENTLY FLOODED KCMO STREET AND IF IT MAKES THE NEWS TODAY, YOU'LL GET 15K TKC BONUS POINTS*!!!

*Redeemable nowhere and rewarded only by way of telepathy.

Sadly, this is a long-standing dilemma that politicos both new & old have refused to address in lieu of awarding City Hall cash to luxury living space, pet projects and tourism schemes.

  1. Of course it's going to flood. But JoCo only has to worry about the heavily traffiked parts of the city. Local workers will be going home to crap filled basements and so many other water related problems to day if we get more than a few sprinkles.

Here's the equation for you TKC.

2in. of rain - Neighbor flooding, basements and many streets.

3in. of rain - Street closures, traffic delays and smaller power outages.

The fall is going to be rainy so you better keep this list handy.

4-6in. of rail - Everything but main artery roads closed. Power shut downs, street car stoppage and emergency warning.

7+ in. of rain - State of emergency. Get a boat.

  7. Where did that gay bar Coaches relocate to ? It will flood there for sure, God is after them.

  8. Flooding and sewers is a big problem in KCMO and no one, the mayors office, city council, etc., wants to take it on because it's not a shiny issue so it will just sit there while the poorly run city bickers about minimum wage and scooters. Sadly, once Kander gets elected these issues will only get worse because he's more of a celebrity social media snark candidate than someone who actually has a vested interest in the city and making it function property beyond the boutique issues like condos, tax breaks, and street cars

  9. It will definitely flood, but if you’re lucky, you may step in one of Sly’s royal turfs which gopher and coprophilia boy will assure you is an honor and part of what is making the city the greatest in the world. MOMENTUM!
