Impressive Kansas City Chiefs First Game Winning Starts 2018 Fanboy Hype Machine That ALWAYS Ends In Disappointment!!!

An important quote from the preeminent bestselling author of this American era offers a moment of contemplation . . .

"Life was such a wheel that no man could stand upon it for long. And it always, at the end, came round to the same place again."

Accordingly . . .

THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS EARNED AN EXCEPTIONAL VICTORY TODAY AND LOCAL FANBOYS ARE ALREADY STARTING SUPER BOWL TALK!!!

To be fair, the long-suffering Cleveland Browns also garnered an impressive tie game as well.

Yet a few early playoff defeats over the past half-decade has KC metro football fans convinced they're on the precipice of a championship season. Undoubtedly, the team seemed impressive but their best play is ALWAYS saved for the early season.

The NFL is an endurance sport where injuries and last minute surges determine the fate of franchises.

On the bright side, today's highlight clips offer some respite from a litany of local bad news and there's no harm in finding a bit of joy in something so frivolous. Nevertheless, just like any Summer fling, it's always important to know that torrid romance during warmer weather unfailingly concludes in winter despair and regret.

And so we share some "news" links filled with unbridled enthusiasm and willful ignorance of a hallowed Kansas City losing tradition.

    1. The Chargers have never been able to figure out the Chiefs and that's a good thing. KC has always been lucky that the AFC West is so week, that usually makes the playoffs just a little more attainable. This year there's no question that team will win the conference and maybe the division. Mahomes probably had the best first game in the league and that shouldn't be overlooked.

    2. ^^^^^^^^ True but Alex Smith also threw two touchdowns today and had almost as many passing yards as Mahomes. Don't know if it was really an upgrade or just trading out one nervous guy for the next.

  2. In 2013 the Chiefs started 8-0 and then went on a 5 game losing streak. They were able to salvage the season with an 11-5 record then went on to lose the wildcard game to the Colts. Fundamentally, that was a far stronger team than this one.

    1. No tailgating all night, no thanks. Without the whores working the parking lot, the game has lost it's interest. Taylor Swift has far more fans and put on a better show.

    2. ^^^^^^^^^^ Good gravy, don't be such an emo douche. The team did look pretty good today. Obviously the choice to trade off Smith and go with Mahomes has been proven correct. This is a good thing.

  3. I’ll reserve judgement until they win their first playoff game in nearly thirty years, early victories are great but if you can’t finish strong what’s the point. The patriots look terrible for most of the early part of the season and look how many times they’ve made the Super Bowl.

  4. All the middle managers in town must be facing that tough question of whether or not to get their Tyreek jerseys for the upcoming Chiefs Fridays

  5. I'd rather eat paste than watch the NFL.

    1. No doubt. It amazes me how people tie up their own hopes and dreams into how a football team performs. I read in a book that it’s a way for the proletariat to feel camaraderie and belonging with people outside their immediate circles. Who knows?

  6. ^^^^^^^^ You can do both. Pretty sure that's what most Chiefs fans do.

    Bwahahahahahahaha!

  7. Cmon now we all know how this ends. Stop foolin yourselves.

  8. KC looked really good except they have trouble stopping anybody. I do think Mahomes is an upgrade from Captain Checkdown but really Tyreek is making him look greater than he prolly is in his first season. Mahomes is going to have a rough year, albeit a very good learning experience for all. 7-9.

  12. Chefs look pretty good but they may have to go to someone outside of Tyreek Hill.

  13. Listen to all these phony patriots melt down like the butt-hurt shit-flakes they are! If you say you aren't or will never watch the NFL, why are you posting on a thread about it? Nice try shit-flakes. Everybody knows you're watching! Losers!
