CELEBRATE!!! PATRICK MAHOMES PROVES FANBOYS EASILY FORGET TRAGIC PLAYOFF HISTORY OF KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!!

Today's early season victory over a struggling franchise proves Kansas City football fans enjoy hype far more than championships.

Mahomes' six touchdowns tied Len Dawson for the most of any Chiefs player in a single game. What that really means is that the front office has been content to offer hometown crowds a mediocre squad for most of the team's history.

Of course the young QB is impressive but still very early in the season.

Nevertheless . . .

SO MUCH KANSAS CITY FANBOY HYPE IGNORES THE CHIEFS' TIME HONORED TRADITION OF LATE SEASON IMPLOSIONS AND EARLY EXITS FROM TOUGHER COMPETITION!!!

So forgive us if we don't splooge over an early season win that's equated with a Super Bowl victory by cowtown newsies desperate for a decent team.

TKC reality check . . . The Kansas City Chiefs remain untested and irrational exuberance overlooks the team following the same pattern set over years, decades and generations with squads much more talented than this one.

Check the links and remember that all of this is mostly an excuse to sell consumers more stuff they don't need:

ESPN: Patrick Mahomes tied a franchise record with six touchdown passes and the Kansas City Chiefs put on an impressive offensive display in a 42-37 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Pittsburg Post-Gazette: Winless Steelers lose to Chiefs, 42-37, as comeback falls short

Arrowhead Pride: Patrick Mahomes dazzles, as Chiefs beat Steelers 42-37

Arrowhead Addict: Patrick Mahomes transforms into NFL star against Pittsburgh Steelers

Chiefs Wife: Chiefs beat Steelers in Pittsburgh for first time in 32 years, move to 2-0

You decide . . .

  1. DOOD.

Nobody likes a debbie downer. You're wrong on this one, it is a great team. Wait and see.

    1. People forget, of course they do. A lot of the KC teams deserve to be forgotten. But there is no doubt that Mahomes is the real deal. Don't just look at his KC numbers, look at him compared to NFL quarterbacks overall. He's right up there with Peyton Manning and other top players. THAT is why this win is exciting.

    2. 2-0. Undefeated. That number speaks for itself! I get that you're a cynic TKC but you gotta admit today the game was better than just alright, really outstanding performance by the whole squad.

  2. ^^^^^^^^^^^ DOOOD. Are you forgetting when the team was 8 and 0 back in 2012?

The Chumps always pull this same trick. It's a marketing gimmick for 20-somethings and the slow-witted. Some thing I guess.

  3. Here is some real talk. The Kansas City Chiefs are not a winning organization. Just like the Royals. It’s not the ingrained culture of this town. Remember the big 5-0 start?

Let’s prepare ourselves for the inevitable of mahomes being traded to another team once they realize how much money he is worth.

  4. The team is great this year TKC. You will be proven incorrect again. We're looking at AFC champs and a shot at the Super Bowl. Don't try to rain on the parade, just makes you look bitter. Sad.

  10. @ 5:06, Let me just say one thing, 48 years!

In 48 years they have never been the last ones standing. Nothing will change about that this year either. Who cares about the KC Griefs? No one with intelligence.

  11. @11:33, c'mon, let the middle-of-the-map cowtown have their kind of football fun. Lots of those fans in the stands across the US have kiddies and grandkids who play the world's original futbol, like us. Maybe the Griefs will need a "soccer" great like me for their kickers' squad soon.

  12. Watch what happens when the Chefs tangle with a real team like the Bills.

  13. On so they won and they scored a lot of points but then so did the Steelers. So while I will say it's a win it really isn't a great win.The Steelet's were allowed to score a lot of points and one more touch down by them and they would have won. So just because they won it really wasn't that impressive of a win.

  14. Wait till we run up against a team with a defense.
