Former corrections officer sentenced for smuggling contraband at Jackson County Detention Center

JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) - A former corrections officer has been sentenced in federal court for smuggling contraband cell phones and other items to inmates in the Jackson County Detention Center. Andre Dickerson, 27, of Kansas City, MO, was sentenced Friday to one year and four months in federal prison without parole.
