DESPITE ELECTION WIN JACKSON COUNTY EXEC FRANK WHITE CONFRONTS SAME OLD SLAP FIGHT WITH LEGISLATURE!!!

An upcoming standoff betwixt Exec White and the Legislature follows the same deadlocked Courthouse script we've seen for about a year.

More to the point . . .

JACKSON COUNTY EXEC FRANK WHITE CONFRONTS CONTINUED RESISTANCE FROM THE LEGISLATURE WHO SEEK TO LIMIT HIS POWER AND EARN A PAY RAISE WHILE THEY'RE AT IT!!!

To be fair, giving the voters the final say on this might be the right thing to do. Sadly, given the sketchy vote for the Democratic Sheriff nominee, Exec White has found success when the electorate is removed from the process.

Here's more insight from a great community news round-up:

Examiner: Jackson County government changes set for showdown vote

Deets:

"Jackson County legislators on Monday are likely to try to override County Executive Frank White Jr.’s veto of plans to reduce the executive’s authority and overhaul county government. If the pattern of recent months holds, they will have enough votes for an override, sending the issue to voters in November."

  1. Frank doesn't have the votes here.

What's worse is that he tried to oust a lot of the incumbents who won their races like Tarwater and Burnett and that will make life even harder for him going forward.

  2. Frank definitely needs to have his powers limited by the legislature. The legislature should get the county government under control before considering a pay raise.

  4. Same old faces.
An election giving the voters a chance to make some desperately needed changes.
And return of the same old faces.
Same things, same people, same way.
    Same results for the taxpayers.
The tremendously expensive clown car continues to roll along.

  5. It's time to vote each of them out of office, starting with Tarwater

  6. 3:32 it's a little late for that. Frank White has been a complete disaster as county exec. I hope the AG or FBI rid the county of him.
