At the conclusion of a violent day for Kansas City it's important to document an outpouring of support and solidarity with the KCPD from not only elected officials but also residents and social media influencers.
Right now, in the aftermath of gunfire targeting the po-po, here's a quick look at leading KCMO power players and their police endorsement . . .
Mayor Sly comments KCPD and celebrates at least one gun off the street:
The City Manager support work of KCPD:
Thoughts & Prayers from the Jackson County Prosecutor:
The new Missouri Governor reaches out:
One of the most strident supporters of police on the Council offers a simple & heartfelt message:
To wit . . .
KCPD targeted by gunfire on local streets indicates a new level of violence on increasingly violent streets. However, it's also important to witness the nearly universal support for police among the denizens of the local discourse as a sign that, unlike other parts of the nation, leaders in Kansas City seem prepared to stand up for law enforcement and against the emboldened criminal class.
You decide . . .
Yes, it's great to see people support the police but we should also remember that around budget time or whenever the "activists" start wanting to tear apart the department.
ReplyDeleteWhoever said Sly would make this about guns, absolutely correct. That's exactly what he seems to be doing in his comment.
DeleteJust wait, a brutality complaint is coming and there might even be some protesting. At the very least we'll see a sympathetic coverage from the newspaper and maybe a couple of crying grandmas.
DeleteDo away with police all together.
ReplyDeleteIts more profitable to let society decay and hire police to do urban warfare under conditions of banking austerity than it is to run the state.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work shooting and killing hood rats so Jean Petersucker Baker can’t let them back on the streets.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a quote from a movie "My job is not to judge the suspect, my job is to bring him to justice". Well welcome to justice dirtbag!
ReplyDeleteFuck off bootlicker.
ReplyDeletePolice lives matter is the new swastika.
ReplyDelete^^^^ That's a hateful comment.
ReplyDeleteLately I have seen antifa using the n-word and other inflammatory language. That is unfortunate.
Kansas City and Westport antifa are the biggest losers and low life’s the city has to offer. Their favorite hangout is Westport.
Delete"Our police have been subject to unfair defamation and vilification and — really, you see what’s going on — even worse, hostility and violence,"
ReplyDelete"You are entitled to leadership at the highest level that will draw a bright line in the sand, not a red line in the sand that isn’t gone over, but a bright line in the sand, and we will protect you.”
Another Trump lie from May 2017. Fail.
You can keep your Doctor.
DeleteHeather Hall is praying --so everything's going to be alright, because diversity is our strength !
ReplyDeleteAnother young black male trying to murder in KCMO.who wants to bet he goes to the plaza to “rob white folk”. I mean he did/..he’s dead now and somewhere in kcmo his homies are crying thinking he was a good man.
ReplyDeleteDon't believe the hype.
ReplyDeleteI’m telling you all time after time when when you have a young black male from KCMO who has dreads like a black mop head...he will kill you. These are the mayors people. Quinton Lucas homies. Jermaine reed voters.
ReplyDeleteThat's the dumbest thing i've ever heard next to white genocide.
ReplyDeleteWas the killers name John smith, or was it a name more frequent with “diversity”?
ReplyDelete50 Veterans have committed suicide since this bullshit cop story began. The lip singing contest dropped like a turd on social media.
ReplyDeleteNo, seriously....is our mayor going to come out tomorrow and rant about guns or will he dare address the problem about the culture east of troost? The mayor has no spine and he knows it. He is a bow tie fashionista for crying out loud you think he would ever be a Giuliani? He sucks and he sucks because he won’t do what needs to be done because of politics. That’s how sad he is. Oh hey I’m mr token black mayor who shoved tax hikes down your throats and got the street car going, but I’ll be damned if I crack down on plaza crime or east of troost. I can’t upset my voters!
ReplyDeleteNow we have a flamboyant candidate mr pander who
Will probably apologize to the Jackson county jail population for their crimes in Westport. You see that’s how pathetic liberals are these days. Rapes in the county jail, frank white being investigated ( I’m sure it’s Whiteys fault) I mean the list goes on and on.
You are a simple man.
ReplyDeleteNow Hiring !
ReplyDelete3 New Bullet Catcher positions.
Slie has not and will not address the root cause of the problem. He would rather have face time wearing his rainbow colored bow tie. He is a pathetic excuse for a mayor.
ReplyDeleteIf you talk to Sly and most members of the city council you'd find that none of them is particularly interested in public safety or the police, or most other issues of basic city services.
ReplyDeleteEven the council members who chair and sit on committees specifically supposedly focused on those issues.
The time for all these people very late to be speaking out to address crime, violence, and homicides in the city and become sufficiently knowledgeable about how the PD operates and what the department needs and how elected officials can help be a part of that is ALL THE TIME.
After all, the council FUNDS the KCPD and supposedly governs the city.
Most of these folks couldn't locate the various patrol division headquarters on a map if their free tickets to a Chief's game depended on it.
What's needed are at least a couple people in city government who are way less interested in hype, flash, make-believe projects and claims, subsidizing every "developer" with a pulse, and themselves, and WAY more on what municipal government is really all about.
Take a REALLY good look at the candidates for mayor.
What is the take on this in Possum Fats?
ReplyDeletesLIE was the last one to make a public acknowledgement to the police 6:46PM, Troy next at 5:48pm and then mean jean at 5:13PM. Meanwhile, all major local police depts had chimed in between 1:00 and 1:30, thanks for your awesome support!
ReplyDeleteBut the three worst people for preventing crime were forced to say something hours and hours after the fact, these people need to go.
6:58 did you mean possum farts?
